Public transport

City transport

Zurich is a relatively small city and easy to get around. We recommend that you travel by public transport. The network encompasses buses, trams, inner-city trains and boats. Services start at 5am with most lines running until 1am.A day pass (valid 24 hrs) costs CHF 8.60 and a single ticket (valid 60 min) costs CHF 4.30. Children up to five years travel for free, while six- to sixteen-year-olds pay half-price. Tickets can be purchased online or at ticket machines located at almost every stop.

The nighttime network of trains and buses runs on weekends from 1am until the early morning hours. It requires a CHF 5 supplement in addition to a valid ticket (available at ticket machines, or by phone: text ‘NZ’ to 988). For more details please consult zvv.ch or the ZVV App.
One-day and three-day Manifesta 11 tickets are valid on the city network ( Zone 110, 2nd class, excl. night supplement).
