Process engineer, Werdhölzli Wastewater Treatment PlantMike Bouchet reroutes and transforms the human waste of Zurich’s inhabitants. In cooperation with the Werdhölzli Wastewater Treatment Plant, Bouchet has made a new form out of faeces, whose 80,000 kilos is equivalent to a day’s worth of sewage production in the city. Bouchet conceives of his project as a collaboration with the city’s entire population: on 24 March 2016, anyone who used the toilet in Zurich contributed to this artwork. A unique fragrance has been developed to transform the viewer’s experience of the site-specific sculpture, on display in Löwenbräukunst.
