Liberation Bar

Liberation Bar is the result of Manifesta 11’s (Dis)Assembly meetings. Discussing the position of the art educator as a mediator between artwork, (exhibition) context and viewer we devised a series of events which conceive intermediacy as crucial; a tribute to comment, question and doubt. Liberation Bars took place every Wednesday between 7pm and sunset at changing public fountains in Zurich. The bars’ location, drinks and music were programed by a rotating roster of hosts.
